wort-wahl is an owner-managed full-service agency for interpreting services and interpreting technology. For many years, renowned companies and organizations have turned to us for their multilingual communication needs. Be it for meetings, conferences, major events, delegation trips or small groups.
wort-wahl was founded in May 2004 by Karin Rademacher in Cologne. In March 2017, our Münster office opened to better serve customers in Münsterland, East Westphalia and Northern Germany. Since July 2018, wort-wahl has also had an office in the UN city of Bonn – supporting the many international organizations based there.
Karin Rademacher, owner and conference interpreter, has more than 20 years of experience as a simultaneous and consecutive interpreter. She is an expert at assembling and coordinating interpreting teams at home and abroad, and organizing interpreting equipment.
She was awarded the Diploma in literary translation, and honed her interpreting skills during stays in Italy and Switzerland, and in her work with prominent American and Italian companies.
She has extensive knowledge of the multilingual communication requirements within a company – a benefit she passes on to clients of wort-wahl. Her interpreting assignments take her to cities across Germany, Europe, Asia and Oceania. The island of New Ireland, part of Papua New Guinea, is perhaps the most remote location where she has interpreted (so far).
Karin coordinates the agency’s headquarters in Cologne. Her working languages as an interpreter are German (mother tongue), English (B language) and Italian (C language).
Benedikt Henrichs, conference interpreter and project manager, coordinates the office in Bonn.
After completing his master’s degree in conference interpreting in Cologne, he spent six months working on a pipeline construction site in Champagne, France. Upon returning to Cologne, he began enthusiastically dedicating himself to the great diversity of content and culture that his profession brings with it – whether in East Westphalia, the Palatinate and Bavaria, or Africa, where an assignment once took him to Ethiopia and Eritrea. His working languages are German (mother tongue), English (B language) and French (C language).
Samsara Grabs is a conference interpreter, project manager and the contact person for wort-wahl’s Münster office.
Samsara, who was born in Austria and has been living in the Rhineland for many years, has previously lived in India, Portugal, Spain, Great Britain and South America. During these stays abroad she not only deepened her knowledge of the respective language and culture, but also expanded her skills as an interpreter. Her working languages are German (mother tongue), English (B language) and Spanish (C language).
Kerstin Pages is responsible for administration and accounting.
With her diverse professional experience in accounting and order processing, she supports the wort-wahl team in various project-related tasks. A trained optician, she is the ideal addition to the team – not least of all because, as a mother of five, she is a true organizational talent.
Our extended freelance team of conference interpreters in various European and non-European languages is characterized by competence, professionalism and quality. They are passionate about a wide range of topics and take pride in our clients’ success.
