Karin Rademacher established Wort-Wahl in May 2004.

The Wort-Wahl team is based in Cologne and works successfully for local, regional and international clients. Conference interpreting and public relations are the fields of expertise.

The integration of these business areas is the result of long experience. After earning a university degree in literary translation in 1995, Karin Rademacher spent two years working in Italy and Switzerland, before going on to work in the fields of interpreting and public relations with American and Italian companies: Flos Designleuchten; GE Communications (German press office of General Electric) and Prénatal.

Karin Rademacher’s own entrepreneurial activity has further enhanced her knowledge of the communication needs of companies, whether it is interpreting an international conference or external communication during times of crisis. She steadfastly employs this knowledge and understanding for the success of her clients.

Her working languages are German (mother tongue), Italian and English (both active B-languages). This means that she interprets from Italian and English into German and vice versa. The interpreters on her team cover many other language combinations.

Karin Arians supports Wort-Wahl in the back office. The company employs a network of freelance interpreters and copywriters who share common values and goals: understanding needs from the client’s perspective and creating customized solutions that are straightforward and effective.
